Pictures from inside Giga Texas demonstrate how quickly things are progressing with Tesla's start of Cybertruck manufacturing. With numerous bodies in white observed inside the facility, the EV manufacturer has launched the pilot line in Austin. Additionally, Tesla declared that Giga Texas has produced the first-ever Cybertruck in production, marking a significant achievement for the business.

We were treated to the image of two Cybertruck bodies in white on a pallet at Giga Texas earlier this week. The first glance at the rear mega casting, which demonstrated Tesla's development since a previous leak revealed an improvised structure typical of a prototype, was the most interesting element. The Cybertruck body in white looks to be made up of front and back mega castings, as well as various stamped elements, most notably the side stampings. Due to the size of the rear one, it may not be a single-piece mega casting but rather numerous cast components that have been joined together.





The Cybertruck skeleton appeared to be production-ready, and fresh images from the Cybertruck assembly line were posted on Twitter on Friday, confirming this. This time, the white body was positioned on a dolly cart as more Cybertrucks were being assembled in the backdrop. This demonstrates that the pilot production is already in motion and that Tesla is making rapid progress towards release-candidate manufacturing. It is also evident that the Cybertruck has left the Fremont pilot line permanently.

The pictures support what we already knew about the Cybertruck, which from a structural standpoint resembles a larger Model Y. Given that the Cybertruck's body in the images lacks a floor, it features stamped side panels, front and rear mega castings, and a structural battery pack. This indicates that Musk's exoskeleton assertions, which he previously stated at the annual shareholder meeting on May 16, were inaccurate.

In order to develop an exoskeleton-based automobile rather than an endoskeleton-based car, Musk remarked during the event, "We had to invent a whole new set of manufacturing techniques." However, the production line's architecture resembles the latter more. Additionally, they appear to increase dissatisfaction among truck enthusiasts who view the structural battery pack as a weak spot for a work vehicle. The battery would be the sole thing holding the truck pieces together while towing if there were no adequate reinforcements. As a result, the towing capability will be constrained.
