Painting grant scheme launched by Cork City Council to liven up the city of Leeside.

Cork City Council is actively encouraging locals to spruce up Leeside's iconic quays with the introduction of new grants. This will help people to bring a touch of life and vibrancy to the area!

The grant scheme is available to both residential and commercial buildings, with the grant offering 50% funding for painting and reaching up to €1,500 per building. Buildings with two façades facing a street can potentially receive a maximum of €2,500 in funding.

The painting grant scheme is a strategic effort to boost urban regeneration in historic parts of the city. It seeks to enhance their character & appearance, instilling pride and confidence among the locals.

Over the past 11 years, more than 300 structures have taken advantage of this program which has been re-designed to target different areas of the city. The 12th consecutive year of the program is part of a wider regeneration effort that includes the refurbishment and conservation of vacant sites, as well as The Living City Initiative.

A detailed map has been provided by the city council to identify areas eligible for this year's grant.

Property owners can apply by April 28th by emailing [email protected] or posting a form to the stated address on the website.
