Premier League leaders Arsenal scored two late goals to earn a 3-3 draw at home against struggling Southampton.

The Gunners drew their third game in a row, leaving Manchester City five points behind but with two games in hand - and the Gunners visit Etihad Stadium next Wednesday.

Carlos Alcaraz scored after only 28 seconds, capitalizing on an Aaron Ramsdale error.

Arsenal has conceded the Premier League's two fastest goals at home this season, the other being Bournemouth's Philip Billing's strike after 9.11 seconds.

Theo Walcott doubled Southampton's advantage against his formal club before Gabriel Martinelli pulled one back for the league leaders.

Duje Caleta-Car restored Southampton's two-goal lead and appeared to seal the three points, only for Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka to score in the 88th and 90th minutes, respectively, to earn a draw.

Mikel Arteta's team had drawn away to Liverpool and West Ham United in their last two outings.

Southampton is still bottom of the standings, three points from safety, after failing to win in their last seven league games.
