Cannabis worth €750,000 seized in North Dublin, two men arrested

Gardaí arrested two men in North Dublin during a drug raid.

The raid, conducted as part of an ongoing investigation by the Gardaí and Revenue Customs Service, targeted individuals who were thought to be connected to organized crime. Revenue agents seized around 35 kilograms of herbal cannabis during this investigation, with a total estimated worth of €750,000. In the meantime, two men, one in his 40s and the other in his 30s were detained by Gardai.

At a Garda Station in North Dublin, they are both currently being held in accordance with Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

According to a Revenue spokesman, on May 5, 2023, in Dublin 13, "Revenue officers seized approximately 35kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of €750,000 as part of an intelligence-led operation."

"This operation was part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
