A man was arrested yesterday after drugs were seized at Dublin Airport.

Revenue and Garda officers discovered thanks to risk profiling and the assistance of Maggie, a detecting dog.

A person who had just come off a flight from Montreal, Canada, was detained, their luggage was searched, and illegal substances were discovered.

Officers seized approximately 35kgs of herbal cannabis worth €700,000.

A man in his twenties was arrested and transferred to a Dublin garda station, where he is presently being held.

The investigations are still ongoing.
