Dublin Garda arrested a man after seizing drugs worth €182,000

During the course of a search, operation carried out as part of Operation Tara in South Dublin, Garda from the Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) confiscated over €182,000 in suspected drugs, together with over €5,000 in cash and a number of high-value watches.

The DCRT's ongoing activities to stop the distribution and sale of illegal substances in the Dublin area led to the search.

During the course of the search, which took place at a residential building in the Tallaght neighbourhood, suspected cannabis herb worth an estimated €122,000, cocaine worth an estimated €58,000, and MDMA for an estimated €2,400 were also found, along with €5,655 in cash and seven luxury watches.





All of the seized narcotics will be delivered to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for examination.

A 20-year-old male has been detained at a Dublin Garda station under the guidelines of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
