Today marks the 40th anniversary of the Dublin Pride Parade in the city.

The march will begin at noon on O'Connell Street and will proceed to Merrion Square, with road closures and traffic diversions in place.

The march kicks off a month of activities and events for LGBTQ+ individuals, including the Merrion Square Pride Village and the Mother Pride Block Party.

Dublin Pride 2023 began last weekend with the Annual Pride Run in Phoenix Park, hosted by Dublin Frontrunners.

Taoiseach Leo Varadker led this year's event, which included individual runners and Athletics Clubs from around Ireland.
