A female Gardaí officer was arrested today at the Dublin airport after officers allegedly seized roughly €100 in cocaine.

A serving female Gardaí has been arrested after she was allegedly caught with cocaine at Dublin Airport.

She was arrested at the airport after officers seized approximately €100 in cocaine. According to sources, the officer, who is in her 30s and lives in the greater Dublin area, was arrested as part of an ongoing intelligence-led inquiry.

It is known that she is not based at the airport and was flying away at the time. Gardaí announced this evening that a lady had been arrested - and that she was a serving member of the force. She has now been released without charge, and an investigation is proceeding.





"A female in her 30s was arrested by Gardai this afternoon, Thursday 20th April 2023, at Dublin Airport after being found in possession of a small quantity of controlled drugs (analysis pending)," a Garda spokeswoman said.

"She was arrested and taken to Ballymun Station before being released without charge." The medications will be analyzed by (Forensic Science Ireland). The female in question is a member of An Garda Sochána headquartered in the Dublin Region.

"At this time, no additional information is available. Inquiries are ongoing"
