Garda – Tipperary, Offaly and Wexford Roads Policing caught a number of Speed Offenders

The speed enforcement checks were undertaken by Tipperary Roads Policing during the weekend on the M8.

During a short period of time, a number of speeding offences were observed.

All offenders have been issued with a fixed charge fee.





Offaly Roads Policing detected a car travelling at 174km/h in a 100 zone. The car was fitted with a space-saver tire on the front. The driver was arrested and later charged with dangerous driving.

Wexford Roads Policing caught a speeder on April 8th when they conducted a speed check. The driver was an unaccompanied learner who got tested positive for cocaine.

The vehicle and the driver were seized and the learner was arrested.
