Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold hit 50 Premier League assists during their thrashing of Leeds at Elland Road.

Liverpool utilised their 8-day rest period to great effect, resulting in a 6-1 away victory against Leeds United.

The Reds' entire campaign has been undercut by their poor performances on the road; they had earned just 13 points from 15 games prior to Monday night, which is why they have little left to play for in the closing weeks.

The team's 6-1 win, their fourth-greatest margin of victory in any competition, is evidence that they still have a killer instinct.

Liverpool has had a strange run of form, having won 7-0, 9-0 and 6-1 yet still find themselves in 8th place in the Premier League. It reflects their strangely inconsistent performance since the start of the season.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo, and Darwin Núñez all found the back of the net while Luis Sinisterra netted one for Leeds United.

Alexander-Arnold hit an extraordinary milestone against Leeds as he registered his 49th and 50th Premier League assists. The defender teed up Cody Gakpo for a controversial opening goal and was at it again in the 90th minute, setting up Darwin Nunez for Liverpool's sixth of the night.
