Man arrested after €2.84 million cannabis seized at Dublin Port

A man(40s) has been detained after cannabis worth an estimated €2.84 million was seized at Dublin Port on Sunday.

Gardaí stopped and searched a car that arrived from France. Approximately 142 kg of cannabis were confiscated by Revenue Officers during normal operations.

An Garda Sochána arrested a man, who is now being held in a Dublin Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.





Further investigations are ongoing.

The seizure resulted from ongoing cooperative investigations by Revenue into organized crime organizations and the importation, distribution, and sale of illicit substances.
