Man arrested following an accident involving a car and ambulance in North Cork

After the crash in North Cork, a man in his 20s has been arrested.

Last night at 11.45 p.m., an accident occurred on McCurtain Street in Fermoy. According to Virgin Media, one of the vehicles involved was an ambulance.

Two vehicles were involved in the incident, according to a Garda spokesperson.





According to the spokesman, one of the vehicles' drivers, a man in his 20s, was detained after the collision. The other vehicle, which contained three passengers, included a person in their early 90s.

Medical personnel at the scene evaluated that person, a passenger in their 50s, and the driver, who was in their 30s.

No life-threatening injuries were reported.

The man in his 20s who was arrested was later released and is due in court at a later date.
