Man arrested in Kildare after threatening pharmacy employees with a knife

On Saturday afternoon, shortly after 3 p.m., a man armed with a knife threatened employees during a robbery.

Man in his 40s was detained during a knifepoint robbery of a retail establishment.

The incident occurred on Saturday shortly after 3 p.m. in Newbridge, Co Kildare.





A man entered a pharmacy in town armed with a knife, allegedly threatening staff and stealing a cash box from the till before fleeing on foot.

After a foot pursuit, a man in his 30s was apprehended nearby by local uniform and detective Garda. A sum of cash was recovered.

The man was brought to a hospital.
