Man died; teenager rushed to hospital after a collision in Galway.

A man(50s) passed away due to a two-vehicle incident earlier this morning.
Around 7:30 am, the tragic tragedy happened on the N65 in Moyleen.
A man in his 50s who was driving one of the vehicles involved in the collision was transferred to University College Hospital Galway to receive medical attention for his wounds.
Unfortunately, the victim later died from his wounds, and a post-mortem is scheduled for later.
A male in his late teens who was the second driver in the crash was also sent to University College Hospital Galway, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.
The incident site is still off-limits while the Forensic incident Investigators conduct a technical evaluation of the area.
Gardai are now requesting information from anyone who may have seen the accident. The guards are asking that any drivers who may have dash-cam or other camera footage and were on the N65 at the time of the crash, share it with them.

In Garda Statement: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision involving two vehicles that occurred on the N65 at Moyleen, Co. Galway at approximately 7:30 am this morning, Friday 12th May 2023."
"The driver of one of the vehicles, a male in his 50s, was taken to University College Hospital Galway to be treated for his injuries, where he later passed away. A post-mortem will be conducted at a later stage. The second driver, a male in his late teens, was taken to University College Hospital Galway with non-life-threatening injuries."
"The road remains closed to allow for a technical examination to be conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N65 at the time of the collision, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí."
