Man in Kilkenny stabbed early Monday morning, suffered serious injuries

Gardaí in Kilkenny are investigating an incident which occurred on Lower New Street at 6.30 am on Monday. A man reportedly in his 20s was seriously assaulted.

Emergency services arrived promptly after the alleged incident and quickly took the man to Saint Luke's General Hospital. Reports suggest he had sustained a stab wound to his upper right arm and is currently undergoing surgery.

The Gardai have recently arrested three males in connection with an incident. The suspects include a 20-year-old man, a teenage adult & a minor male. All the individuals are being detained at a Garda Station in Kilkenny as the investigations are still going on.





Garda Inspector Paul Donohoe stated on KCLRFM that a person was stabbed in the upper arm of their right arm and is currently receiving surgery at Luke's Hospital.

Garda Inspector Donohoe calls on anyone who was in the vicinity of Lower New Street at 6:30 am or Gaol Road, Friary Street, Parnell Street and Walkin Street to get in touch if they witnessed something or have dashcam footage.
