Man injured in Limerick after explosion of viable device at two properties

Man(30s) was injured after an explosion on Saturday in Limerick.

A viable device exploded at two residential houses on Hyde Road at around 3.10 a.m. this morning, Roxboro Road Garda responded to the scene.

Emergency services and the Garda were on the site. One man in his early 30s had non-life-threatening injuries to his arm during the incident.





The Garda are requesting that anyone who saw this event come forward.

Anyone who was in Limerick City's Hyde Road neighbourhood between 2.30 and 3.15 this morning and may have video footage (including dash cam) is requested to make this information available to the investigating garda.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, the Roxboro Road Garda Station at 061 21 4340, or any other Garda station.

Investigations, according to the Garda, are underway.
