Manchester United was fined £65,000 by the FA for failing to control its players in last month's game against Fulham. It led to 2 players and assistant manager Marco Silva getting sent off.

A shot by Sancho on the line at Old Trafford was missed by referee Chris Kavanagh because he did not immediately see it. You could say that things changed dramatically within 20 minutes of the moment and a few minutes after, an incident initially missed was seen by both players and the referee.

United's players surrounded Kavanagh before the referee went to check his monitor–the spark that would soon see Willian gets sent off for a handball and Aleksandar Mitrovic get dismissed for his reactions. Silva, too, got sent off in the seconds after this event

"Manchester United FC has been fined £65,000 after its players surrounded a match official during the 71st minute of their tie against Fulham FC in the FA Cup on Sunday, March 19, 2023," said an FA spokesperson.

"Manchester United FC has been fined due to the club's ongoing failure to properly ensure players conduct themselves improperly. The fine was issued following an independent hearing."

The FA has banned Mitrovic for eight games after he roughed up Kavanagh and Luis was suspended for two games because of his own reaction.
