Gardaí in Tallaght are investigating an unlawful discharge of a firearm and a car-pedestrian collision that occurred in Jobstown, Dublin, on Monday, April 17th.

Shortly after 5 PM, Gardaí and Emergency Services responded to reports of an incident in the Kiltalown area of Jobstown.

During the incident, a number of shots were fired at a house and a man in his 30s was seriously injured after he was struck by a car.





A critically-stable man was transported from the accident site to Tallaght Hospital via ambulance.

A 20-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was taken to Tallaght Hospital.

Shortly after the incident, a car was discovered on fire and abandoned on Mount Seskin Road.

A number of crime scenes are currently being preserved for forensic and technical examination. An incident room has been established at Tallaght Garda Station and a Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed. At this time, no arrests have been made.
